There is enough legroom in the back, but the bench is too tiny for long-distance travel with three people. Despite its diminutive size, the trunk’s aperture is relatively small. Some of the Sensory and Red Sport grades have woodgrain; the base Luxury cars have aluminum.
Engine
The base models are more than capable with a 300-hp twin-turbocharged V-6 and 7-speed automated transmission. The Q50’s power output is on par with rivals costing $50,000 or more, so it’s a worthwhile investment. Compared to the standard Q50, the Red Sport 400 variant has an extra 100 horsepower from the same engine.
Regardless of the setup, the ride quality is excellent, but the vehicle’s handling isn’t as outstanding as its competitors. The Q50 Red Sport 400 has an optional set of adaptive dampers that aim to control the ride impacts caused by its 19-inch wheels, but they don’t always work. Even though Infiniti has ditched its previous drive-by-wire steering technology, each Q50 model still responds well and provides some input. Powered by turbocharged engines, this series is rated at 6.

The basic price of the 2024 Q50 Luxe is $43,125, a $5,400 increase over last year’s model. The starting price of a Q50 Red Sport is $58,975, which isn’t outrageous considering how much power it packs. However, the Q50 Luxe will appeal to the majority of purchasers, even at its most basic level.
