The QX80 has a sprightly feel about it thanks to the lack of turbo lag, and the throttle response is good right out of the gate. The QX80 is a joy to drive in traffic and a joy to cruise on the highway; it’s an excellent all-around performer. The 7-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control is electronically managed and may provide power to either the rear or all four wheels. Since Nissan’s newest nine-speed gearbox is smoother and more responsive, this transmission has been around for a while.

That the Infiniti flagship SUV costs a lot of money isn’t surprising given the brand’s focus on luxury vehicles and its vehicle pricing. The mid-range Premium Select costs $73,350, increasing to $76,450 for the AWD version, while the top-spec Sensory costs $80,200 in RWD form and rises to $83,300 for the AWD version.
