2023 Infiniti Q60 Engine, Horsepower, MPG – Fanatics of the original Infiniti FX will enjoy this. For the first time, a crossover coupe version of the small 2023 Infiniti Q60 premium SUV has been unveiled by the Infiniti brand. Despite the Q60’s sharper exterior design, this BMW X4 competitor’s bones are shared with its more conventionally-styled sister.
According to Infiniti, the Q60 is a “statement-maker,” and it is. The luxury Japanese brand likes to call the Q60 the “spiritual successor” to the FX because of its distinctive roofline. Rather than luxury coupes and sedans, this market segment is becoming increasingly popular.
2023 Infiniti Q60 Redesign
Even in this new iteration, FX’s spirit is clearly evident. The 2023 Q60’s grille features an Origami-inspired mesh inspired by the rest of the current Infiniti lineup. Both sides of the grille house the vehicle’s standard LED headlights. For added contrast, the fog lights have black accents. One notable design feature is the clamshell hood, an aesthetic choice meant to better integrate the shunt lines into the front fenders. The hood is attached to the A-pillar via a four-link hinge. Rear-facing “piano key” taillights feature 45 individual LED bulbs and blend in seamlessly with the elongated roofline. Eight exterior colors, including Dynamic Sunstone Red and Slate Gray, are available.
Interior
This time around, interior design was significantly influenced by Japanese art. There are many similarities between this phone and the previous generation 2023 Infiniti Q60, but it still has its own distinct look. Many color combinations are available, including Monaco Red/Graphite semi-aniline leather and Graphite. Luxury includes leatherette upholstery and dark brushed aluminum trim as standard. Seats with “Zero Gravity” technology are included as standard. As part of the sensory design, the cabin has open-pore wood trim.
Wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity is available for the first time in a Q60 model. All Q60 models come with two high-resolution touchscreens. In order to use Android Auto, you must connect your phone to your car’s USB port, which is only possible if you have a USB cable. Head-up displays with a 9-inch screen are also available.
Engine
Regardless of the Q60’s trim level, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. In addition, it is the first mass-produced variable compression engine in the world, which is pretty cool. The engine’s compression ratio can be varied between 14:1 and 8:1 in order to maximize both fuel efficiency and performance. Standard, Eco, and Personal modes can be selected for the driver’s preference.
You can choose between a single gearbox option with an automatic transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that shifts by wire. Up to half of a vehicle’s available power can be directed to the rear wheels for traction assistance. Precision handling and overall comfort are provided by Body Control Motion technology and four-wheel independent suspension.
2023 Infiniti Q60 Release Date and Price
We expect the 2023 Q60, Infiniti’s most affordable model, to cost more than the current 2023 Infiniti Q60 ($37,950). Infiniti expects the Q60 to go on sale in spring 2023, with a starting price of $45,000. Compact luxury crossover coupes like the BMW X4, Mercedes GLC, Audi Q3 Sportback, and Range Rover Evoque have been around for a while. When compared to the rest of the group, the Q60 may be the most visually appealing.
