Even though the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been on the market since 2014, it remains a viable alternative to the BMW 3-Series. The lowest versions are powered by a 300-horsepower twin-turbocharged V-6 and come standard with a seven-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The Q50 is a fantastic deal, given its reduced price and increased power output. The Red Sport 400 edition of the Q50 has an additional 100 horsepower from the same engine as the ordinary Q50. The ride is pleasant regardless of the configuration, but the car’s handling falls short of the finest in its class.
On the Q50 Red Sport 400, an optional set of adaptive dampers attempts to mitigate side effects generated by the vehicle’s 19-inch wheels, but they are not always effective. As a consequence of the Q50’s removal of Infiniti’s earlier drive-by-wire steering system, all versions have great responses and some input.
